MUGELLO: VICTORY TO GIOVESI, CHEEVER AND GUERIN ON THE PODIUM
03/10/2011 - Team Lucidi Motors' drivers lived a weekend as protagonists at Mugello in the seventh and penultimate round of the Italian Formula 3 2011 Championship.

In qualifying held Saturday, Victor Guerin set a positive fourth time (1'39.504) laying the foundations for a good result in the races;
Edward Cheever set the sixth fastest time (1'39.691), while Kevin Giovesi secured the pole position of race two thanks to the eighth best lap (1'39.822).

Guerin harvested a much deserved podium in race one after a good battle where he had the best of the classification leader Sergio Campana. Well within points was also Cheever, fifth, while Giovesi ended eleventh after a drive through penalty due to jump start.

The counter-charge of the Milanese driver arrived in race two anyway as Giovesi led the race from lights to flag with great determination and obtained therefore the second win of his season, setting also the fastest lap of the race (1'41.442). On the podium was also Cheever, third, followed by Guerin fourth.

Gabriele Lucidi (Team Principal):
"I am satisfied with how our drivers are harvesting all the fruits of the hard work done together throughout the year in this season finale; they constantly grew both from the technical and mental side. Giovesi dominated race two with good authority while Cheever and Guerin alternated on the podium completing a very positive weekend for our team".

The Italian Formula 3 Championship will be back on track next 16 October in Monza for the final round of the season.
